Thankfully, earlier this week I emailed a professor at UNT and she agreed to be my mentor. I was beyond excited that Dr. Macias accepted my request as I loved our research interview and I feel that I learned a lot about the biomedical field through the answers she gave me. She went above and beyond as after we finished the interview, she showed me around her lab and it looked amazing. Additionally, in ISM we went over the plans of this semester and seeing everything that is going to be due stressed me out because I felt like I wouldn't be able to get it all done on time. However, I decided that if I planned out when I wanted to start working on specific assignments and when I should have them done would make everything more organized. This semester will be at a lot faster pace than last semester and I feel preparing myself and setting time aside will make the rest of my time in ISM go a lot more smoothly. Additionally, besides going to mentor visits I will need to start drafting my final product as I am still unsure what I plan on doing for it.
