This week in ISM I gave my Original Work speech and this is the last speech I will have to give before final presentation night. During my last speech I had issues with the time limit as I went a little over, but this time since our speech had to be between 17 and 20 minutes, I was between that time. Additionally, this time I felt I had made progress in terms of avoiding using the word "um" when I didn't know what to say, which is an improvement. However, I also felt that during this speech I had a problem with keeping eye contact with my audience, as sometimes I'd forget what I was going to say, and then I looked down at my notecard. During my last speech I felt I was good at maintaining eye contact with the audience, so next time I would like to do the same. If I rehearsed more I think that would've allowed me to better memorize my speech, so I wouldn't need the notecard. This speech was on the topic of my original work, and I was excited to show everyone what I created and talk about how exciting this project was to me.
