This week in ISM I have been able to narrow down my focus of the aspect of biomedical research to clinical trials, most of the research I have been able to study is almost solely based on that. I researched types of cancer clinical trials and the information I gained in this article allowed me to build on my existing knowledge to progress to create exceptional original work. I have been able to direct the new information I learn to pertain to my original work, such as getting a better understanding of what I can include in my mock grant proposal. There are many questions and treatments I need to consider while preparing my grant request as it is a lengthy procedure with a lot of data. Because I'm interested in learning more about reversing epigenetic silencing to cure malignancies, I need to think about the many kinds of cancer clinical trials. When it comes to putting up a clinical trial in biomedical research, I've discovered that the experiment or inquiry must be guided by a set of core questions. Similarly, I learned more about some of the bad impacts of cancer from this article, as well as different methods scientists examine the best approach to treat patients. In order to develop therapies, physicians and scientists must examine not only a patient's physical but also their mental well-being.
